Hi we were on an aft balcony on the Dream last year. You can open the dividers, just ask your room steward. Be ware though, the 2 rooms directly in the center will note open into each other, but the other side does open to the room on the other side.

The balconies are nice and large. I've attached 3 pictures from our room on the top floor of balconies. We had the Lido deck for a roof on our balcony, but all the other floors are open above.

the dividers on the middle can not be opened =- they are metal partitions. Cabins are also smaller in those rooms.

Aft balconies tend to be warm as there are no ocean breezes back there- The views are amazing though.

Its a further walk tot he stairs/elevators but your halls are quieter as people on a cruise tend NOT to go where they dont have to.

Aft cabins are not for everyone but everyone should try it to see if it fits.

I loved Aft cabins but can no longer afford them.

I appreciate the information and pictures.

The walk doesn't bother us as we do that anyway....kind of helps wear off some of the food and drink...lol

I had an aft OV on my last cruise and you are right it is nice and quiet back there and as far as the heat it was 135 degrees here today so I should be fine....If not it will just be another reason for an ice cold beer

The price with my military rate was very good in fact just a couple dollars more than the regular balcony we were looking at however we did go down a deck or two from what we originally looked at

Thanks again for the info and have a great day / night
