Lindquist beach or Smith Bay Beach

Does the dollar bus go to Lindquist/Smith Bay Beach? We are docking at Crown Bay so how would we get to the stop from there. Would it be easier to find a taxi outside of the port and ask to go to Mountaintop and then Lindquist? What would the price be and will they return for us? I have checked with tours but none of them will do both.

Lindquist and Smith Bay beaches are the same beach. When the Megans Bay Authority took it over they just changed the name from Lindquist to Smith Bay. The dollar taxi goes past there but I don't recommend it for cruise folks because there are no other taxi's in the vicinity that you can get if it doesn't show up in time for you to get back to the boat. A private taxi will take you there and pick you up at a pre-arranged time for about $10-12 PP each way. You'll have to walk about 1/4 mile down and back from the main road as the entrance road is not paved and is very rough.

 

A private taxi that takes you to Mountaintop will take you to smith Bay also or you can just get one of the waiting cabs there.

Lindquist is our favorite beach. Just remember there are no chair/raft rentals and no food or beverages for sale.
