We are booked in a Deck 5 Oceanview quad room. Any possibility of being upgraded to a room with a Veranda or higher?

We are booked in a Deck 5 Oceanview quad room. Any possibility of being upgraded to a room with a Veranda or higher?

 

Did you book a Guaranteed Category or a set room? If you booked a set room and were assigned a cabin number, chances are pretty slim that you will be upgraded. Unless of course you purchased under the promotion they are running for their Carribean Destinations where upgrades are being offered via the website.

 

I havent heard of anyone just being Surprised with an upgrade on just a regular purchase. If there IS a way... please share!

On Carnival, I have been upgraded twice without promotion or guarantee. I assume it depends upon the availability on the ship. I was also wondering whether they would let you do an upgrade upon check in, similiar to the way some airlines let you upgrade to first class for a nominal amount. Again, space would have to be avilable.
