Formal Night for a 17 year old

Hi, I'm on Ventura in 10 days and was wondering what to wear on formal night. On Independence of the Seas I just wore a smart black shirt and tie with black trousers, and that seemed fine, but I have heard more people on P&O tend to go for a suit. I don't really want to wear the full dinner jacket/bowtie but don't have a problem with wearing a smart suit and tie. What would you guys suggest, or if any teens have been on, what did you/others wear? Thanks in advance :)

A dark lounge suit is fine.

You will be fine in a dark suit, but may be eclipsed by some under 5's in thei DJ's. You could always go for a smart suit and bowtie.

My teen done this last year, thought he was james bond, he looked great!!!!:)
