A question for the ladies...

On the ship I carry a medium sized tote (estee lauder bag with gift bonus!) - keep all the stuff I may need so I don't have to run back and forth to the cabin all the time: sunscreen, sunglasses, tissues, book, glasses, lip balm, fun times, camera, gum, sun hat, ipod... I wear my S&S card in a lanyard around my neck.

For evening I have 2 small purses - one black, one white (w/long shoulder straps can be worn cross body if preferred) - works with all outfits - keep S&S card, casino cash, lip glsses, comb, fun times tear off section and my camera cuz I too have been caught without it too many times!

In ports I am usually doing something that involves water so wear my 'valuables' in a beach safe around my neck and the rest of my gear in my big beach bag!

I usually leave my cross-over bag locked in my luggage while on the ship. On the ship all I really need is my key card and I'll either wear a lanyard for that, or put the card in a pocket. For formal dinner nights I carry a small clutch for my key card, hair brush, etc. When we're going on an excursion I take the cross-over bag. I would not want to be bothered carrying a full-size purse everywhere with me. On sea days I use a tote bag, for my towel, key card, sunscreen, book, etc.

I have a bag that is expandable I bought at travel smith. It holds my passport ,money ,kindle, plane tickets, credit cards and a bottle of water. It can go in the safe on the ship where I keep my jewelry as well. When on the ship I carry my kindle in a thirty-one notepad case and slip my s&s card in it. I am a purse nut when not traveling--love coach but when traveling it is all about ease!!! If I need lipstick at dinner, it goes in hubby's pocket.

only to get there.

Then I put my lip gloss, small brush and sign and sail into a small clutch with a small wrist strap. It's black with little glitter things so i use it everyday and formal nights as well. out and about I use my little red carnival purse that goes around your neck. lip gloss, credit cards, id and sign and sail fit just fine.

Great discussion. I normally carry a bigger-than-normal purse on the travel day, to hold all of the documents for the whole family, and then lock that in the safe (so it's obviously not a huge one to start with) for the week. In the past, I've just carried my s&s card in a pocket while on board, and made trips back to the cabin if I wanted anything else. But now that I have a Nook, and plan to use it a lot, I'm going to look in the closet for a smallish cross body - that should work great and maybe cut down on the trips to the cabin this time!

I'm curious. WHY would you need a purse at dinner?? It's free and the tipping is already paid for!! You really only need to take your drink in with you! :D

I take a small evening bag to dinner because I need my glasses to read the menu, my camera and I always carry tissue (allergic never know when Im gonna sneeze). Also carry my own s&s too. But the real reason is I collect evening bags. So I have to use them to justify buying them;)

On the ship, I use a fanny pack only when I'm going to be in the casino. The rest of the time I just put my S&S card in my shorts or jeans pocket. I put the rest of my wallet and other valuables in the safe and put my purse (without valuables) in my husband's backpack which he puts in the corner of the room.

I love being able to go around with only my S&S card in my pocket. Hard to switch back to a purse when I get home.

On excursions I take a purse or tote bag (if going to beach or pool).
