La Princesa Posted July 21, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 21, 2011 We are going next month to cozumel. I have being there 2 times already and this time going w/a big group and we are thinking of going to chankannab. Can anyone tell me if we must have life jackets to get in the water? Do we have to rent them there and how much? If you dont want to rent them can you still swim???? so we will pay the $21 entrance, any other fees? and else could we do????? thanks. GinDon Posted July 22, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2011 We were there in May, and their policy was that you were required to wear a life vest to snorkel, etc. There is a hut there, where you can get them. No money needed, but they hold your Sail and Sign card from the ship, and give it back to you when you return the vest. LOTS of fish there! Loungers and thatched umbrellas are free. I believe there is a free Sea Lion show, but we got so lazy relaxing, we forgot to go to it. There is a Dolphin Swim program, for a fee. Lots of threads here on Chankanaab, many with pictures. We love Chankanaab!
