David: You and I were in Alaska at the same time and maybe not too far appart. On Friday, July 15, I was in Anchorage and it was so clear we could see Mt. McKinley from the Crows Nest of the AMSTERDAM. I also miss the cool weather of Alaska. Last Tuesday I was in Sitka and as I was walking up from the tender dock the pink salmon were literally jumping out of the water.

Comments on Today's postings:

The Nieuw Amsterdam at Dubrovnik, Croatia on the beatuful Dalmation Coast. This is one of the nicest spots I have ever been in my life. I love that walled city of Croatia and have since I first saw it over 26 years ago.

I found the Zaandam at Ketchikan thanks to your link and I thank you. I also found the Zuiderdam and I often wonder why it is that the only HAL ship to dock at the Railroad dock is the Volendam.

Thanks for your report. I hope you and the Mrs. had a good time in Alaska.

Yes, Kazu. Alaska always treats us very well!!! I am ready to go back. I have been to Alaska 5 times now. Two out of those five were our own Land trip that we organized ourselves.

WE LOVE ALASKA!!!!!!!!!!

Himself,

I envy you then if you saw Mt. McKinley!! We did not see the mountain that much this town. He was very shy. I think out of 14 days, we had one day that the Mountain was visible for awhile.
