newmexicoNita Posted July 27, 2011 #27 Share Posted July 27, 2011 I'm not sure they cut out Vets. Quote: 'Active or retired members of the military can chose from numerous sailings in 2011 or 2012.' That means vets are included, aren't they? tech vets are not all retirees, but I would guess you are right, as long as they have ID> Nita
brunolvr Posted July 27, 2011 #28 Share Posted July 27, 2011 Dear Cruise Critic Members,Our enhanced military programs applies to all active and former members of the military, including veterans. Also, the promo code is "military." Thank you, Norwegian Cruise Line Public Relations Thank you for clarifying that for us. In the past, the military discount was applicable to suites. Is it true that the new enhanced program is only available on mini-suites and below? After having enjoyed the "suite" life, we have found it very hard to go back! And one reason we have been able to enjoy the "suite" life is because of the military discount.
Norwegian Cruise Line Posted July 27, 2011 #29 Share Posted July 27, 2011 That's correct, currently the program applies to staterooms only, up to mini-suites.

Agent999 Posted July 28, 2011 #33 Share Posted July 28, 2011 I hope NCL will respond positively. While I completely understand what you are saying, I think it devalues the purpose of the Cruise Critic Community (people learning about cruising from the experiences of other cruisers) if we continually seek NCL's official responses on topics... And it isn't just you, and this certainly isn't the only thread where I've seen some sort of plea/request to NCL to reply on the topic. I mean, if NCL's word is the only one that matters, then there is no reason for anybody to reply to a thread EXCEPT for NCL....and what kind of place would Cruise Critic be if that were to happen?
