We are booked for a cruise in February on Disney Magic. We will have a 3 and a 1 year old at the time. They both are relatively well behaved when we take them out for dinner. What are the pros and cons of each seating? Ordinarily, I would take the earlier seating given their ages, but is it more important to prioritize the show if the food is middle of the road?

Thanks in advance for your response.

No matter which seating you choose, there is a show to accommodate each!! Alot of people with little ones choose the early seating for dinner. If you pick that one then you will see the show after you dine. If you go with the late dining then you go to the show before you have dinner. It's a matter of preference really. Many people think that the early dinner works better with such young ones because if you have late dining you are likely to still be in the MDR at 10:00pm so its simply a matter of what will work best for your family. No worries about missing a show though, DCL has you covered!!!:D

Generally, the early seating has more kids at it. Keep in mind what time zone you are coming from. "Early" or "Late" may more closely fit with what time your bodies are on.

One thing to mention is that the late seating has the option of letting the kids get thier meals quicker (usually by the time the adults entrees are arriving they are finishing up), then the kids clubs come by and pick up the kids to keep them entertained while the adults have some grown up time.
