Day Use Hotels/ Ixtapa

Are there any day use hotels in Ixtapa? What do they charge? What would you recommend for teens & 11 year old? I'd love to relax someplace nice and they will want to go to the beach ect.

You will need to take a cab from Ziahu to Ixtapa. Once you get into Ixtapa it is all the luxury high rise hotels on the beach. I think most of them will let you spend the day there. In January we went to Barcelo Resort. It was suppossed to be $15 each, but no one ever charged us. We sat on the beach and had drinks. There were people parasailing and some water sports, but not nearly as crowded as Acapulco was. I had a great massage on the beach for $20. The hotel has really nice pools and a swim-up bar. There is a shopping area across the street. Barcelo was very very nice and one of our favorite parts of the cruise.
