kbrum01 Posted March 23, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 23, 2005 Help! Any ideas for inexpensive low-key beach time for family with 3 & 6 year olds?:D We hope to avoid the crowds, the vendors, and the busy-ness of Orient Beach on St Maarten and Paradise/Cable in Bahamas. Shallow snorkeling would be a bonus. Really, we just want to wade and build sandcastles. Also, we're only in Nassau from 2pm-7pm. Any suggestions? I've never been disappointed in the sage advice of CC posters! Thank you SO much! kbrum01 RCCL Song of America '90 Carnival Fantasy '91 Windjammer Polynesia '93 RCCL Nordic Empress '04 X Century 4/
karen2754 Posted March 28, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 28, 2005 This doesn't exactly answer your question, but maybe the information will be helpful anyway.... There's a small tropical zoo on St. Maarten. Website is http://www.stmaartenpark.com. That's what we're planning to do with our little guys. Shar27 Posted March 29, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 29, 2005 We absolutely love Mullet Bay Beach. It is on the Dutch side of the island and is not very busy. Of course a few beach vendors manage to find the place. The water is gorgeous and the sand is like powder. We were there last month and were not disappointed. Also, there was very little nudity. ckrobyn Posted March 29, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 29, 2005 I was on that very same beach at the very same time as shar27 and will agree there was little to no nudity. :o
