The largest selection I've found was in Los Cinco Sole, my favorite store on Cozumel. Looked like at least 50 brands of all price points.

I have been looking myself for posts about liquor prices in Progreso, but have not found anything. I have been to los cinco soles, and the prices were fair, but I am looking for a bargain. Anyone know of any deals?

Thanks for the Coz info. Thought I had seen a post here a while back that talked about some local, very good tequilas at dirt cheap prices! I'll keep searching!

Keep in mind that Progreso basically is not a tourist town. It is a small Mexican town that caters to their local residents. I'm sure there is booze available but selection is probably limited to what the locals drink. Tourism is new to them. No big stores for the gringos. There is openair souvenier shopping at the plaza and there are some good restaurants along the Malecon. Progreso has been a beach vacation destination for Mexicans in the past.
