Wood carving question..

Are the wood carvings better in Belize or in Roatan? :confused: Where is the best place to buy them in port and what kind of wood is it? Thanks! :)

The wood pieces (bowls, etc) seem to look very similar in Belize and Roatan, when we were there a year ago, but much cheaper in Roatan. It is varieties of wood, different colors often in one piece.

You will find many of the same pieces at both ports and the craftmanship is equally as good at both ports. However, generally the prices are better in Roatan. Check out the flea market across from the Coxen Hole dock for a wide variety of items at good prices.'
