Gem - Deck 8 Obstruc View

Has anyone stayed in a Deck 8 Obstructed View cabin? If so, how obstructed. Is one better than another? any photos? thanks!

Just got off the Dawn. we had 4 cabins all with obstructed views on Deck 8.

 

Google the ship's name and the room number and see if any pics pop up. I found my cabin that way.

 

We looked at the lifeboats. We got natural light but no view really.

Thanks for the pic and the google idea. Agree on liking the amount of natural light and can put up with the obstruction....for a good price.

I have been on the Jewel in an Obstructed cabin on deck. Cabin was 8050. We had almost no obstruction. We booked the same room on the Pearl to Alaska for September. Worth the lower price and not that much of downgrade in view. I don't expect to be taking in all the splendor from the picture window anyway. I just like to know if its day or night out. Inside cabins sometimes mess with your mind. I say try it out!

From what I have observed, the first of the obstructed view cabins usually just have a Zodiac parked in front / below their window. Sometimes it's the last cabin.
