angel4daffodil Posted August 3, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 3, 2011 Hi, We are booked in room 7219 on the Silhouette and have only come across a few reviews regarding the balcony. I'm assuming anyone who has had this room on the Equinox or Solstice should be able to help us. We realize the balcony is much larger but can anyone tell us if there is a real problem with the wind? Also what about the view from the balcony, is it obstructed that much by the life boats? Any opinions posted would be appreciated. Thanks!
Andym Posted August 3, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 3, 2011 Just back from the Solstice. We had 8230 which is other side one deck up, but identical. No wind problems at all, fantastic views. I put some photos on this thread. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1451777

yayvacation! Posted August 3, 2011 #4 Share Posted August 3, 2011 We had a forward hump (CS 1233) it is a few decks higher, but no wind problems for us at all at any time on the balcony! The lifeboats were visible from our balcony if you looked straight down, but it didn't bother us at all. Enjoy the cruise!!
