Tour Merida and San Ignacio Cenote?

Does anyone know a tour guide that will take us to Merida for a city tour then to San Ignacio cenote for a bit? I would like a private tour so we can have some flexiblity with how much time we spend in Merida. Although San Ignacio does not look like the best cenote for a swim. It does look like the closest without going way out.

I've spent alot of time in Merida and strongly suggest it. I vacation there. Not familiar with San Ignacio but I bet William Lawson will be along with maybe some ideas since he lives in Merida.

Merida always seems to take more time than people imagine, what with all the traffic. San Ignacio is a nice enough cenote, but I found it quite small. If there are more than 8 people down there, it starts to feel a bit crowded.

 

The closest cenote to Progreso is at Dzibilchaltun and it is not a cenote (dzonot in Maya) but a Chaltun, which is like an open pond-lake deposit of clear water that reaches down into the water table.

 

There is another cenote between Merida and Progreso, but completely off the radar and no one except the local villagers go there. It is not a spectacular cave, but pretty cool nevertheless.
