Answers from my previous 5 day cruise on board the Enchantment and questions about the itnerary from the exact same 9 day.

a) what do you wish you had brought onboard but didn't? Another pair of shoes had to many dress clothes but not enough dressy shoes. My heels broke onboard the ship  They got caught in something and the bottom broke off. I was soooooo upset. I had to change my formal dress because of it, but no worries. That's why you pack extras of everything!

b) what did you bring onboard, but didn't need after all? Sneakers never used them I just walked around in flip flops.

c) what are the "must do" things on this cruise? Bungee Trampoline I didn't like the rock wall because of my fear of heights. So when I saw one of my family members do it I had to beat them. So I did the trampoline and went higher than them. You saw beautiful veiws of bermuda. I looked out and saw the whole island. Th shades of the water you could pick out were gorgeous, Lights and darks. I loved it. I also loved Chops. The food was amazing it's something you can't pass up!

d) anything you did onboard that wasn't worth the time spent Nothing I focus on the positives and not the negatives.

As everyone has been very helpful in responding to my earlier questions, I'll throw out a few more:

  • Did you bring a laptop onboard and connect with the ship's wifi? If so, how did that work out?

  • DW enjoys snacking on her lowfat microwave popcorn. I understand that the cabins don't have microwave ovens, but I've read elsewhere on CC that sometimes a crew member can have the popcorn popped for you. Any insight on that?

  • Captain's Reception on 1st formal night - "must-do" or "nothing special apart from the free booze"? (Experience on last cruise - 4 years ago on Carnival Victory - was closer to the latter, but still glad we went.)

  • Do the ship's bars carry any beers besides those of the Miller/Bud variety? (Sam Adams, for example, would be good.)

  • Where can I get ice cream onboard late at night?

  • At disembarkation in Baltimore, if you did not carry your own luggage off the ship, how long did you just sit around on the ship, waiting for your turn to get off? Breakfast available in MDR or WJ?

Guess that's enough for now. Thanks.

  • Do the ship's bars carry any beers besides those of the Miller/Bud variety? (Sam Adams, for example, would be good.) YES, varies by ship & bar.

  • Did you bring a laptop onboard and connect with the ship's wifi? If so, how did that work out? We brought our laptop the first cruise we were on but wi-fi is so expensive, but wasn't always working. We can use i-pod, i-pads, etc. without having to connect to the internet.
  • DW enjoys snacking on her lowfat microwave popcorn. I understand that the cabins don't have microwave ovens, but I've read elsewhere on CC that sometimes a crew member can have the popcorn popped for you. Any insight on that? No insite on this as we have never asked to have pop-corn popped for us. There are so many other snacks and goodies available that I am never hungry after eating my starter, dinner, and dessert. :D
  • Captain's Reception on 1st formal night - "must-do" or "nothing special apart from the free booze"? (Experience on last cruise - 4 years ago on Carnival Victory - was closer to the latter, but still glad we went.) We met him talked for about 1 minute and walked away because many other people were behind us and he couldn't talk for long. Though he was very nice. I can't go dissing the guy who got to my vacation destination. :D
  • Where can I get ice cream onboard late at night? You could go to the Ben & Jerrys onboard which costs extra. I can tell you that is very yummy. I get cookies-n-cream. However you can go to the small ice cream machine outside the WJ on the pool deck. You grab a small cone and fill it with low-fat frozen yogurt (for free) . That is also very yummy, but I have no idea when that closes. I think Ben and Jerrys closes at about 9 so if you have the late seating you are out of luck . Just kidding haha.
  • At disembarkation in Baltimore, if you did not carry your own luggage off the ship, how long did you just sit around on the ship, waiting for your turn to get off? Breakfast available in MDR or WJ? We went to breakfast in the WJ because the MDR was not open. Make sure you get up early because everyone went to have breakfast here because nothing else is open. It took us about15 minutes (though I may be a bit dramatic) to find a table. After we ate breakfast we went back to her room to get our carry-ons which are now carry-offs and headedto our meeting spot. As soon as we got there we saw a line of people walking out so we stood to the side and snuck in the back of the line. I thought we were very lucky and normally I am so unlucky (haha). So we didn't have to wait very long to get off the ship even though I wish I could of stayed hidden inside my room. At 9:10am we were in our car on I-95.

Cayo Levantado was great! I don't know how someone can complain about that island. One of the best beaches I have been to. In the market area the people were a little aggressive but you can avoid that.

I agree and the staff were wonderful. I was there last year and I had an abscessed tooth. I was in horrible pain. The guy who was our guide there took me to the doctor right at the resort and the doctor prescribed antibiotics which cleared up the infection in a couple of days and they only charged me a nominal fee for the antibiotics. They saved the remainder of my cruise.

Yes, please confirm about breakfast in MDR on last day. We usually eat there, maybe it was just closed on that one cruise?

Also can anyone tell us how dressy was Formal Night? Also what is "White Night" for clothes?

Thanks!
