Can anyone tell me if there is a beach on keywest?

There are several beaches but they are not very big or very impressive. Key West is a coral island and the sand beaches that exist are created ones not natural.

You can still get a tan, get wet and enjoy yourself even if they aren't as nice as some others.

Be careful while there and don't block anyones view of the sunset, some of the locals get really miffed when that happens. :D

I live here in Key West, if you have any questions please let me know. There is Smather's Beach which is by the airport and Higgin's Beach by the Casa Marina. Key West is not known for its beaches, so you may be disappointed. At Smather's beach you can rent loungers, tubes and sail boards. higgin's has tables that are covered.

I've heard that the beaches aren't great. I had a 4 day vacation booked there next weekend. Once I heard that the beaches weren't great (last week) I decided to cancel, and I booked a last minute cruise on the Majesty. Not too much more money either!
