Frick_&_Frack Posted April 26, 2012 #177 Share Posted April 26, 2012 It's been a while since we cruised NCL and really looking forward to getting back to the suite life. Do suites still get the flower arrangement? We are cruising for our anniversary and want flowers in the cabin. thanks Flowers are still on the list. I hope they're in the room because I didn't order any. You can order on board if need be. We are on the Pearl this Sunday, so if they are not there, I will report back. On our March 26th Gem sailing, the flowers were in our Suite (an S5). They were really lovely (but, I had to give them away the next morning because my allergies killed me) :(

I know for breakfast you can special order some items from the other restaurants. For instance, steak and eggs, eggs benedict with crab or shrimp and other such things. Your conciegre can get you the menus for all the restaurants as well as the menu for the week from the MDR. There is reserved seating in the theater, but from what I read somewhere on CC, it isn't that great. It is located towards the back of the theater and has an obstructed view. It's best to get there early so you can get decent seats. Edited April 27, 2012 by rockabutzer
MrsNancyG Posted April 29, 2012 #179 Share Posted April 29, 2012 I'm not sure this amenity list covers Epic. I only say that because the stateroom categories are different for Epic. For example, the Deluxe Owners Suite with Balcony on Epic is category S2, not S1. And the 2 bedroom Haven family suite is S4. I would really like to know from someone who has been there and done that if this list is correct even with those differences. Thanks and happy cruising! For example, the Deluxe Owners Suite with Balcony on Epic is category S2, not S1. And the 2 bedroom Haven family suite is S4. I would really like to know from someone who has been there and done that if this list is correct even with those differences. Thanks and happy cruising! Very basically, the suites on the Epic follow the same formula as the suites on all NCL ships. All suites begin with the "S" designator. All suites with a number following the S (ie S1, S2, S3, etc) include access to the Haven. All suites with a letter following the S (ie SA, SB, SC, etc) are true suites without Haven access. All suites generally include all the amenities listed under the most basic suites - but there may be slight differences ship to ship. For example, the Sun suites will include a DVD library, but I think this is gone from the Gem and Epic, which have On Demand movies.. On some smaller ships, all suites will have reserved seating in the theater, on some other ships this seating may be reserved for Haven Guests and above. But the bigger benefits are basically the same. The Deluxe Owner's Suite is category S2 on the Epic, Jade, Gem, Jewel, etc - the reason it is not S1 is because there is no Garden Villa (cat S1) on the Epic. The first post on this thread has different category designations because NCL recently changed the suite designators (to the formula I stated above with letters and numbers) to make it less confusing. The main differences in category come with anything designated Owner's Suite (whether regular or Deluxe), and Garden Villas (not to be confused with "Family" or "Haven" villas, these are the HUGE 3 bedroom villas). This is when some extra benefits kick in. Anything with "Owners Suite" or "Garden Villa" in it's name includes champagne (vs sparkling wine in other suites), unlimited soft drinks and bottled water (in the suite only) and full bottles of liquor (3 in Owner's Suites, 6 in Garden Villas, none on the Pride of America, due to local laws), and the Garden Villa also includes a one way limousine (or taxi or van) transfer. There can be subtle differences in each level of suite (ie, basic suites and penthouses, Owner's Suites, Haven Suites/Villas, Garden Villas), but nothing most people would notice until they have sailed in multiple suites multiple times and very intangible. Otherwise, it's pretty much as listed above. Robin Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Edited April 29, 2012 by Fishbait17
SeaHunt Posted April 30, 2012 #181 Share Posted April 30, 2012 Are there any previous Epic cruisers who stayed in a S9 Spa Suite on here who can answer how they worked around the lack of a decent table in those staterooms, and enjoying in suite dining? (looks like same problem in categories S6 and S5 also) It's the only thing I'm not looking forward to. ;)

WaldosPepper Posted August 11, 2012 #183 Share Posted August 11, 2012 We are in a Haven SpaSuite. Do we get laundry? Free laundry is a perk for Platinum Latitudes Members, regardless of stateroom category. Suites do not get free laundry unless they are Platinum Latitudes. Hope that helps. ;)

Guest LoveMyBoxer Posted September 24, 2012 #189 Share Posted September 24, 2012 Question: I saw something mentioned on another post about having access to cell phones provided for suite guests. Is this true for the 2-bedroom Haven Suite? If so, are they good to use throughout the ship? Was thinking it would be a good way to keep in touch with DS. Thank you

Thank you It's not a cell phone, but a cordless phone like you might have at home. Depending on the ship, you should have one, maybe more, in your suite, with their own extension number. You could carry it or give it to your son, and then whoever doesn't have the phone can use your cabin phone or house phone to call the extension number and it will ring wherever it is on the ship. We use ours a lot, hubby carries it while I am in the casino, if I need him or it's lunch time or whatever, I use the casino house phone to call the extension, he answers, and we meet wherever. cruisebie Posted February 28, 2016 #193 Share Posted February 28, 2016 I understand they are replacing the Elemis products with Bulgari. The Lavazza machines are being replaced with Nepresso. Also you can now watch movies on demand in your suites for no charge. This is in lieu of the DVD library.
