Dream and Sea Lions

Anyone done the dream eastern itin and been able to do the sea lions? HOW?

Can you take the Carnival excursion to blue lagoon and then sign up for sea lion program at blue lagoon.

my issue is that the first departure is at 8:30. but 830a is the time we get to port so i dont think we will make that ferry. so that means we would have to take the second trip at 1030. but it looks like the trip is 3.5 hours long and that means we return at 2PM. well the dream itin says we leave nassau at 2pm. so that is out.

so doesnt look like i can do the sea lions unless you are able to take the carnival excursion to blue lagoon then sign up for program on the island at that time. does any one know if that is a possibility?

thanks

Did you look at Atlantis? I booked a sealion excursion directly through atlantis for my cruise in December for half the cost of what carnival was charging. They might have early times that will help you get back to the ship in time.

you won't have access to anything else at Atlantis.. The sealions are nowhere near the pools, slides, beach or lagoon.

You'll need to pay for the DIGS or grounds seperately.

I'd still check into the Sea lions at Blue Lagoon, it's a better program.

.. Give them a call or email Dolphin encounters

That's weird that they are telling you that you can only book the sealion interaction through carnival. Why would they put a reservation page on their website if you weren't allowed to book direct? I sent in a reservation request on Saturday night after doing some research, i'm thinking of changing my reservation from Atlantis to Blue Lagoon. I will let you know the outcome.

i could book through the website if the ship were in port a little longer on either end. I can;t make the first ferry to Blue lagoon and the second ferry comes back as the ship is leaving Nassau. so the timing is off as far as our port schedule is the only reason i can not book via the website..

It may be possible once you are there but the availability is limited so while possible, it may not be available.

CCL isn't offering it because the time frame doesn't work for them so they probably had the same issues you are having.

Maybe just do something else this trip and do the Sea Lions on your next cruise.:o

  • 1 month later...

My situation is slightly different because I'm sailing on the Majesty of the Seas. I, too, emailed one of the online sites for reservations for the Sea Lion Experience at Blue Lagoon and was told I need to book thru the shore excursion desk of the ship. I called a different one and was able to book. Our port times are way different from yours though. We dock at 8am and don't leave until 11:59pm. Odd that the website has a reservations link, but you can't use it if you're on a ship.
