Snorkeling Buck Island at St Croix is marvelous experience. The underwater trail is nearly cathedral like.

Did you use one of the listed companies for getting there? If so, how many were on the boat/tour?

We bring our own gear. Is there any way to get to Buck Island without a tour?

In St Croix, right at the end of the pier, is where we snorkeled, and it was Great! It was a few years ago, when we were there last, but hopefully it hasn't changed any.

At the end of what pier? Could you give town name or beach -- and -- a more specific location?

Thanks

I took the ship's snorkel trip. It's a longish trip to the pier and not many people signed up. Even if the boat had been crowded (which it wasn't), Most of the time is spent in the water. it's a short sail from the dock to the island.

we were in St Croix last year and used Big Beard to snorkle at Buck Island was not crowed at all maybe 12 people tops we did the full day included 2 snorkle stops and lunch. They also have a fhalf day trip.

Thanks - I will look into "Big Beard" and see what's available.

Did you happen to snorkel at Cane Bay? If so, what did you think?

We snorkeled at Pinel Island a couple of years ago. The water can be really rough on that side of the island and we were pushed around quite a bit. It was also very milky, probably because it was so rough. Hopefully, you'll have better luck.

We like to snorkel at Little Divi Bay, all the way to the left. You'll see snorkel excursion boats anchored off the beach, by the old fort.
