Lost S&S card?

Can anyone tell me what happens if someone (or a forgetful teenage son) loses his, I mean 'someone'? Do they just replace it for free or for a fee? Do the other 3 room keys have to be turned in and new ones issued?

And, yes, I am planning on putting the S&S card, soda card and i.d. card on a lanyard that will, hopefully, make it a little less likely to be lost. And, we will be holding the S&S card when in a port. And, no, if lost the soda card will not be replaced! I know, mean mom, huh?

Thanks to anyone with experience with this situation!

No problem. They replace it free. They may or may not need to reissue or re-key the other cards, depending on the system they use (just as with hotel room key cards).

Either way it is no big deal. They do it all the time. That also happens a lot when a card stops working, often because someone had it in a pocket or purse close to a cell phone.

Now if it is the same passenger who keeps losing his card repeatedly, they probably would not be too happy about that.

Even if the card is lost in port it's no problem. When I lost mine in Grand Turk I was allowed back on the ship to go to the front desk without a security escort to get another. It probably helped that I was with three others that still had their cards, and was at a relatively small island instead of a major city port. :o
