Can we check in a car seat with the rest of the luggage at the pier instead if carrying it on the ship with us?

I've done it with car seats, bouncie chairs, little bath tub, stroller - pretty much anything you can stick a luggage tag to that isn't fragile.

If you're going to check the car seat at the pier, consider tucking in the harness straps (so people don't pick it up by the harness) or using a bag marked "fragile".

I have to say I was quite impressed by how careful the people at the pier in Port Canaveral were with our luggage, much better than at the airport! Me, I still don't trust anyone and lug it everywhere.
