Buck island with the cruise line or on our own?

I will be on the Serenade of the seas in February of '12. I would like to go to buck island to snorkel. Have any of you had experience with RCL's Buck island excursion? Any feedback is appreciated!

 

I usually book excursions on my own. I save a lot of $$ and generally have a better experience with private companies/guides. Our ship is in port from 7-6 so time is not a problem. If anyone has any idea how to do this privately, I would appreciate your input!

Hi khm! I did a Google search and found Big Beard's and Bilinda Charters. Here's a thread that shares some info about Big Beard's: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1462107

 

I would also suggest doing a search in the RCCL forum for reviews that include Buck Island. That can give you an idea of what others are doing when they get to St. Croix. Here's one thread to get you started. :)
