u2cruiser Posted August 20, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 20, 2011 Am trying to book an aft stateroom on Ventura and B750 is available but it says restricted view. What does this mean please? Hi Mozo9. The restrictred view is a beam (or pillar) on the balcony. I am trying to find you a picture.
William Hartnell Posted August 20, 2011 #3 Share Posted August 20, 2011 B751 is adj and looks like this P&O don't appear to have B750 listed only C750. Hope this helps ooops, so sorry, don't know how to change their size
u2cruiser Posted August 21, 2011 #4 Share Posted August 21, 2011 Thanks for the pic WH. I had technical issues last night and couldn't get my computer to load. It would be a great idea if we could have a sticky at the top of these boards with pics and info on certain cabins like the Celebrity board. Some kind person has put all the Solstice class ship cabins into a spreadsheet and updates it regularly so you can find info on many of the cabins and balconies. Mozo9 Posted August 21, 2011 Author #5 Share Posted August 21, 2011 Thanks for that. Does this beam mean you don't get any sun? Is there room for 2 people to sit? Would you consider taking it or not. I value the opinions of others.
Devon Doll Posted August 21, 2011 #6 Share Posted August 21, 2011 Hi, we had 752 this year - good cabin and would certainly choose it again but there is a very slight overhang from above which restricts some sun in the middle of the day but otherwise was great. u2cruiser Posted August 21, 2011 #7 Share Posted August 21, 2011 If you scroll to post 4 in this link from the Princess forum you can see how B750 balcoy looks from inside the cabin. Princess ship design is almost identical to Ventura. You can also see where this cabin is from the back of the ship on the first post. http://cruiseforums.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=808951&highlight=ultimate+aft+thread
Mozo9 Posted August 21, 2011 Author #8 Share Posted August 21, 2011 Thanks again. Had to make a decision as it was the last of the aft's and I like the idea of an aft in the Carribean. Have gone for it. Shame about the beam but as long as we can still sit out we'll be happy. One last question if anyone knows. When you look over your balcony downwards, are you looking directly into the sea or onto the deck below, like on X ships?
u2cruiser Posted August 21, 2011 #9 Share Posted August 21, 2011 You'll be looking straight down. You can see from my picture. I'm sure you'll have a great time in the aft cabin. Come back and let us know how you liked it :)
madmi601 Posted August 21, 2011 #10 Share Posted August 21, 2011 Am trying to book an aft stateroom on Ventura and B750 is available but it says restricted view. What does this mean please?HI Mozo, you will thoroughly enjoy the Aft cabin, my Wife and I were like you before we booked one last year and found it to be so peaceful even with the sound of the wash. You also do not get people and kids running past your cabin. Regards Mick

southwinds Posted August 22, 2011 #13 Share Posted August 22, 2011 On the P&O web site there is a picture of your cabin window. You need to look on the CAN WE HELP tag ... look for restricted view cabins... and Ventura from there you can look for your cabin number... and a picture of the window.
