Yes, pack something white, or you can wait and buy one of the tee shirts on board. It's a white tee with White Hot Party written on it. They have the NCL dancers, I know the girls had wings, not sure about the men. Dancing, etc. It was a fun time. Hope this helps. Enjoy your cruise!!:D

The party was in the Spinnaker Lounge on the Dawn for adults and the kids party was out on deck. I thought I saw a few guys with wings as well as girls. We saw lots of people with a white shirt or blouse or a pair or pants or shorts. You can buy a white hot tshirt from one of the shops that day if you want a souvenier. We went for a little while. As the previous poster mentioned...lots of strobe lights, loud music and dancing. It was a good time.

I remember two Toga parties a few years back, one on the top deck of an NCL Cruise Ship in the pouring rain and the one in the casino of an NCL Cruise Ship both with a great CD, Paul Baya. Now, those were parties!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D Santa Bob {AKA The Toy Man!}

Ok I will be the lone dissenter here. The white hot party was the dumbest thing I have ever attended on a cruise. After waiting in a way too small room for a long time because they were having issues and the show (not a party in my opinion) started late. We left after maybe fifteen minutes once the very strange show started. It was very Andy Warhol, eighties punk disco inspired. I wouldn’t make a special effort for this event.

They had a Pink Hot Party on the Sky in October. You could buy really cute Pink Hot Party shirts on the ship.

all the cruises i have been on the WHITE HOTs were held inside the Disco Lounges and BIG DANCE PARTY....each ship has their own way of doing it...one of the BEST on the SUN last year.

 

wear white looks cool under the black-lights and they hand out GLOW STICKs i always have some of my own too...just HAVE FUN--it is what YOU make of it!!--they sell white hot t-shirts too that have angel wings-graphic on the back.

The White Hot Party is not for everyone. Each ship takes a different approach to the party but the overall line dance songs (like Electric Slide) are played and then it becomes the DJ's creation later on to inspire the dancers to continue dancing. Sorry you didn't have a good time... as a cruise passenger I do everything possible to make the White Hot Party on my sailing the BEST party on the high seas! You just need to cruise with me! :D

Wear white but feel free to get creative with it as well (within reason). I like to spice up the outfit every now and again. It's definitely a great party! :D Make sure you pick up one of those flashy bottom lights during the drink specials. :)

It's a dance party and if done right, should mirror the South Beach nightclub scene with vibe and sometimes strobes and intelligent lighting. You are going on the Spirit. Usually it starts in Galaxy of the Stars until 1AM and moves to after hours in Maharini's Nightclub afterward. The lighting system in Maharini's is not as intelligent as other ships but could be getting upgraded during the upcoming drydock. The Norwegian Jewel received a nice upgrade to her light system in Spinnakers after the last drydock in Boston. :D

After many NCL cruises we finally decided to participate in the White Hot Party on the Gem the week of 8/7. I had a blast. It is a nightclub party with music, dancing, a countdown, glow sticks, and blacklights to make the white clothing glow.

 

I guess it is not too much different from the other night time dance parties. It is what you make of it. We had fun and would do it again.

I attended my first one last year and it was a lot of fun! They had mentioned that on the day of the party they would be selling white feather boas in the gift shop. I got there too late and they had sold out of them! Next time I'm going to take my own!:D It was a fun dance party.

The White Hot Party is usually alot of fun! We've sailed 2x in October, so it was the Pink Hot Party!! My husband proudly wore his pink shirt....

Lot's of great dance music, glow sticks and fun fun fun .... I love it when they do the group dances...(hustle, elec slide, etc)...it really sets the vibe....Last year the waiters/waitresses where coming around with jello shots...YUM...I think I had 3 or 4 .....

 

We left probably around 1130 when the dj started to spin the loud THUMPIN music....kid time I guess.....(seems he was catering to the nyc crowd that was sitting right in front of him)

 

We did have some fun/drama tho.....there was this one guy (approx early 40's)....he was there with his wife? (we had seen them around the ship a few times)....but this other (older) lady was all over him at this dance.....then the wife showed up!!:eek: ...the 'other' lady slinked over to the next booth.....and everytime the 'wife' would leave (bathroom?) she was all over him again.....(this older lady was quite drunk....I hope)....and of course, this guy, wasn't stopping her either.....lmao.....made for some great entertainment!! :D

Hi Nora4sure ...I know this may sound like dumb question ...but are kids not allowed Spinnaker Lounge adult party ...last year on the Spirit I saw the kids in the lounge
