quarters or tokens in casino - mariner

Recommended Posts

Having been on rccl, ncl, and carnival (RCCL IS THE BEST) I can't remember if the casinos use quarter or tokens in the quarter slots - can someone let me know as we are leaving this friday for an april 3 cruise on the mariner and my dh is curious.

Yes, it's quarters. But be careful--my DH has squandered at least $20 over the past 3 years while walking through the casino or waiting for me. (Of course, that's the only gambling he does, but still--that $20 would have bought me a few more drinks. LOL.)

Every ship casino I have been on takes only quarters and quiet money; pay-offs are in coins, no tokens or barcoded pay-off slips yet. My wife has done very well on all of our cruises has won anywhere from $300 to $500 on each ship we have sailed on. Be forewarned however, there always seems to be many dealers that are training; with a game like craps you need to be sure that bets and pay-offs are correct as many mistakes are unintentionally made.
