StarTrkGeek Posted July 17, 2015 #26 Share Posted July 17, 2015 Does anyone know if the Aerobus ticket machine at the airport takes American credit cards (either chip and signature or the old magnetic stripe and signature), or do they require the pin and chip card (which none of the US credit cards are currently doing)? AltaCruzer Posted July 18, 2015 #27 Share Posted July 18, 2015 They have a website: aerobusbcn.com/en You will find a lot of answers there. They have a couple videos describng exactly how to find the bus and purchase tix. Not sure about whether the machine takes just chip and pin but you may be able to figure it out from the videos. We plan to take the bus in September and after checking out the website we fell very confident it's the way to go.

The person in the video who purchased the ticket was asked for a Pin, though I don't know if the chip and pin is required.
LondonTowner Posted July 22, 2015 #29 Share Posted July 22, 2015 When we took the Aerobus last year there was an employee at the machine helping passengers buy their tickets. Obviously we have chip and pin as we are from UK, so can't help you with that. I think it may also have accepted cash.
Chloe1500 Posted July 22, 2015 #30 Share Posted July 22, 2015 When we used it last month, they had an area set up outside at the bus stop with two staff taking money and issuing tickets. We paid cash--only 5.90€ pp one way--and they did have a card reader for credit cards.
