Wine Packages on Carnival???

But the package is cheaper thru BV. So it is close to a break even. If you buy in embarkation port then they might add sales tax. Just like drinks and soda card.

We always get them from a table in the atrium as we board on embarkation and have never been charged taxes. Bought two 5-bottle medium packages on the Legend this year and will likely need several more on the Paradise repo (14 day) sailing later this year. We'll use them in the MDR and PB most nights...

We usually buy the wine package while still in port and they manually write out the info and don't actually enter it into the computer until after sail away, so we've never been charged sales tax. We do, however, pay sales tax on any bar drinks we have at the bars before sail away.

They give you coupons. You can take a coupon to the pool bar and they will get you a bottle from the category you chose. It is very convenient.

They usually don't like anything glass right near the pools too, but might not be too diligent watching for that.

Anyone know what the regular price is of the Domaine Chandon (and is it any good as a decent sparkling wine?). We will go through at least a minimum of 3-4 bottles a day of sparkling, so if its any cheaper might be worth buying up a good few of these wine packages for our 14 nights on board? $33 a bottle on this basis, how much is it on the bar/wine list by the bottle? And, can these wine packages be purchased in advance of one's cruise? On Celebrity, we had several packages all bought and paid for prior to cruise (we bought when dollar was weak against the pound), so good to have our bubbly on tap. We dont drink frufru cocktails nor beer, just sparkling wine or champagne and some GOOD martinis at night. So always on the lookout for the best deals on bubbly!

$37 per bottle #204 on wine list

Are you able to pay for the wine package with drink vouchers? Say I have 19 drink vouchers at $5.75 each. Would I be able to buy the wine package with these and have the gratuity covered by the drink vouchers? Or would they not allow you to buy them with the drink vouchers?

What about room service? Can you use the coupons to order a bottle to your room?

Yes, you can use them through room service.

The pool and lido deck bars have plastic wine glasses.
