Dannzzigg Posted March 27, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 27, 2005 Hey there folks! For my upcoming cruise in September, we will be leaving from Canaveral aboard the Glory and headed to Key West. Does the ship go far enough out into international waters during the trip to Key West for the casino to open? During my last cruise, we were stranded in Cozumel for an extra 2 nights due to the hurricane, and seeing the closed down casino aboard the ship almost brought a tear to my eye. I'm wondering if it will be the same for the first leg of our trip...

Dannzzigg Posted March 27, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted March 27, 2005 Of course. That's good to hear. I am hoping to be happily donating to the casino every night of my cruise then. Thanks for the quick response.
laura2161 Posted March 27, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 27, 2005 Hey there folks! A question...How do we know which ports the casino has to be closed while there? I ask because when we stayed in port overnight in Nassau, the casino onboard was open. ANybody have an idea? Thanks! glrounds Posted March 27, 2005 #5 Share Posted March 27, 2005 I ask because when we stayed in port overnight in Nassau, the casino onboard was open. I can't, for the life of me, understand why Nassau would allow Carnival to do that, but ENJOY ! ! :D
sgriff17 Posted March 27, 2005 #6 Share Posted March 27, 2005 Laura, I think that the casino being open in Nassau is the exception, not the rule. That's really odd. There are NO ports I know of that allow the ship's casino to be open while IN port.

You think it has anything to do with gambling being allowed in the Bahamas or maybe because we are docked there completely overnight? We arrive at 10 am and dont leave until 7 the next morning.
