We are booked on the 20 day Jan.17/12 cruise from Fort Lauderdale. Does anyone have experience with the ships Balcony cabins? We are in C231, and wonder how we can find out if it is reasonably quiet and the size of the balcony?

Also, we are looking at 5 nights pre-cruise at Embassy Suites Ft. Lauderdale,. Any comments on this Hotel? :o

It is a nice hotel in a good location. The beaches are a short drive and there are a handful of restaurants in the neighborhood (in addition to retail and food/beverage stores). Breakfast provided each morning and evening cocktail hours (during weekdays). The hotel is quite comfortable and attractive.

We have cruised on the Emerald seven times. One of our favorite ships. The Caribe deck is our favorite, but we book mid-ship. Regardless of your location, you will have a quite experience. I can't say about the size of the balcony at your location.

We always stay in Tamarac, so can't offer any comments about your hotel. However, you can find plenty to do in the area. Go to the Hard Rock, visit the horse track and casino at Pompano Park, take a day cruise to see celebrity homes, etc.

We have cruised this itinerary. You will have a wonderful time.

Your balcony size will be 9 ft X 9 ft, partially covered.
