Is this the resort on West Bay Street, also where do you catch the #10 bus to take you to the resort from the pier? To confirm, for the $25:00 you have access to chairs/towels/umbrellas/pools/non motorized sports? and is there a swim up bar there too? Thanks for any help with these questions!

To find the #10 jitney (bus).

Exit the port, go straignt on Parliament St 1 block to the corner . Make a Right onto Bay Street (the main road). Walk 3 short blocks past the new straw market. George Street is on the left. Busses are lined up going up the hill on George Street. Board and tell the driver where you want to get off. When you arrive, pay the driver $1.25 pp/ Drivers don't have change.

Yes, chairs/towels/umbrellas/pools/palapas on the beach, non motorized sports, snorkeling gear and a swim up bar are all included. They also have lifeguards and restrooms, which are majorly important.

Can anyone confirm that this is still available post Irene? I have tried emailing the hotel but as of yet have no reply. We sail Thursday and will be in Nassau Friday.

Yes it is still available - we are sailing on the same cruise and I called and booked the day use room for Friday...SO EXCITED!!!

Once bit of advice, if you call the Sheraton's 800 number and the person tells you there aren't any day use rooms available, hang up and call back and talk to someone else.

I called Saturday to book our room and the woman I spoke with said there weren't any and asked if I wanted to just book a room for the night which would have been $149 + tax I believe... told her I'd have to call back after I thought about it and I was just not going to worry about it at all.

Well I called back Sunday just to see if I would get the same answer. The rep I spoke with that day was oh wow I've never heard of that room type let me check - sure enough there were day use rooms available! $99 TOTAL cost - no taxes interesting huh?

We're not going to do the room/day pass, we just want the use of the beach facilities. I'm really debating between the $25 Sheraton and the $50 Hilton w/ $30 voucher. I'm trying to decide if we'll be there long enough for me to use $30 for food & drink.

Hummm, decisions decisions...............

WE SAIL DAY AFTER TOMORROW!!!!!!

Thank you for the bus info! Last saturday we found our itinerary changed. Thanks to CC we had a wonderful day on Monday! Taking the bus worked out great. Not quite like the buses at home (our driver stopped for gas).k The buses come by the sheraton very frequently.

At the sheraton, we payed $25 each for my DH and me. Our 6 yo was 12.50 and the the 4 yo and 1 yo were free. I snorkeled with the 6 yo and my husband kayaked with him and our 4 yo and then I kayaked with the 4 yo. My husband also did the aqua cycle with the 6 yo. Both the 4 yo and 6 yo loved the water trampoline also. All this and beach chairs and towels were included. We got cups of ice water from the bar. The kids each had one box of fruit loops from the ship so we didn't need lunch during the four hours we were there. It is a very pretty beach and not crowded at all. The restrooms by the pool were clean and we used them to change out of our swimwear before heading back to the ship.

We had a great day at the Sheraton. Thank you to everyone who posted the detailed information about the bus and the day pass. I would return there in a minute, it was great. We did not make advance reservations, just walked up to the front desk, paid with visa, and received our wristbands.

We chose to go to the Hilton as opposed to the Sheraton. We had a wonderful experience there. The fee, as has been mentioned, was $55 which included a $30 voucher towards food and/or drinks.

We walked up to the front desk without reservations and purchased the passes. It took probably 15-20 minutes to get 5 of us set up. After, we walked out the back and straight towards the beach. We were stopped at the towel hut and were traded towels for our beach vouchers. Behind us walked up the person in charge of our food/beverages. He introduced himself, took our other voucher & explained the process. He then escorted us to the beach and got us all settled in. He told us to either come to the bar located just behind us or yell or whistle when we were ready for something to eat drink, or if we needed anything. He then called down another employee and introduced him to us as well. They periodically checked on us. Throughout the day one or both would occasionally walk down and sometimes one of us would walk up there. We were very well taken care of. At one point one of the guys even delivered a tray of drinks to the ladies in the ocean. He didn't get in of course, but he did hand one of my friends the tray and let her take it in the water.

When we each hit our $30 mark he brought the checks out & let us know that we had spent our allotted amount. Of course we were welcomed to keep eating and/or drinking, he just wanted to keep us updated of our tally. I appreciated that, it showed that they were not trying to take advantage of the situation.

We were pleased that there were no kids and very few people on the beach with us. I'm sure partly because of the storm that had just passed through.

It was a wonderful experience and I would recommend it.

Yes and yes.

We just walked in the front door and to the regular guest check in. It is $55 per person and $30 credit per person.

Is this Hilton on Paradise Island? Whats the address please...Sounds like heaven. Will be there Nov. 10th and I am hoping it will still be warm enough. ;)

How do you get to the Hilton?

Well, WE took a cab, but we walked further in doing so. I would have never made that choice, the Hilton is directly beside Senor Frogs which is very close to the docks. One of the ladies that was with us insisted she was not walking anywhere. By the time we walked to the cab, then from where the cab dropped us off to the Hilton, we walked further than if we had walked directly there from the dock.

Take my advice, if you go to the Hilton....WALK!

It's not on Paradise Island, it is right beside Senor Frogs just to the right of where you walk off of the ship pier. When you are sailing in, it's the big hotel directly in front of the ship. You can't miss it if you watching as you approach the dock.

I would think it would still be warm enough.

Thanks! I went to a beach on another cruise to Nassau at a hotel near the dock, but it seems like it was further down because we had to hop on a bus to get to it. There was also a huge water slide going into the pool at the beach where I was.

Do you by any chance have pics of the beach where you were? Also, do they rent snorkel masks? Where is the closest place to eat? Sorry for all the questions but trying to get all the ducks in a row! lol

I do have pics, I have no idea about the snorkel masks, we ate at the hotel using the $30 voucher. I do believe there is a McD's very close by on the other side of the road.

No problem w/ the questions. I was the same way. If you want pics, email me @ cds_28025@yahoo.com & I can send some to you.

The hotel with the slide is the wyndham/ (next door to the sheraton) on Cable beach. Day passes are $40 at the wyndham and include buffet lunch.
