Good afternoon SMDers live onbaord from the Carnival Imagination. Its a smaller ship, but I think you get better service on the smaller ships anyway.

I see that Madelene has already posted that we had dinner together. She is so sweet. We went to a place called Brio and the food was great. West commented about going on group cruises and meeting others on cruise critics that you can meet and visit in other cities. Thanks Madelene.

OK, getting time for the sail away, so until tomorrow when I can hopefully post from Key West

Hi Rich--be sure to have a DOD for me. Or a margarita at Margaritaville!!! Something that will warm me up--it's 5 degrees here not including wind chill. Our road is drifted closed with 5-6 foot snow drifts. I had to leave my car at a neighbors then took a four wheeler then 2 snowmobiles to go less than 1/2 mile. First snowmobile flipped and dumped me into the snow. So enjoy the warm weather!!

Good morning, SMDers!

Janet, I love it here is beautiful, cold as a witches, OOPS can't say that. Anyway it is 35 with a wind chill down to 28.

Lori, I know this is by far nothing like you are going thru, however, we are talking FLORIDA!!! I would have paid money to see you flip in the snow. Glad you did not get hurt and I am still laughing.

Going to mail my DGS' presents today and pick up the percriptions. That is it for my list.

Have a super day!

Good afternoon SMDers live from cold Key West. I can not believe that it was 47 when we got here this morning. The shuttle driver said that they are breaking all kinds of records here. She said that she didn't have a heater in her house and had to go to Home Deposit to get only to be told they are sold out. The biggest seller at the stores are hoodie sweat shirts. Go figure. Next stop Cozumel.

Hey, gang!

Went to the store to pick up some lottery tickets and Kenny was standing next to the machine that sells those scratch offs. He looked at it and someone had left $5 in the machine so he got some tickets and we won $43. How about that for good luck. Now if only the big guy would pay out.lol

Rich, glad you are having a great time. I am sure Cozemel is alot warmer than we are. Have fun.

Good Afternoon, SMDers!

Happy hump day to all. We took the car in as the airbag light was on. She tried to tell me it may be the battery low voltage. I told her nope and I was right. No charge under the contract.lol

Tried a new place for lunch. It was ok nothing really excited. I have tasted better chicken salad.

I am going on Friday with 2 of the ladies that are on the CC Florida board. One is coming from Ocala and the other lives here at the Villages. I am so excited a girls lunch.

Well off to Looney land.

Good Morning everyone! It's a chilly morning here but I do see a little bit of sun peeking out. It's sure been quiet on this board, are we all pouting because Rich is cruising and we're not? :)

Hey Rich, hope you and West are having an amazing time and enjoying your cruise. Can't wait to hear all about it.

Have a great day everyone :p!

Good morning, SMDers!

Wow super slow boards even I can't think of anything to say. Now that is a miracle.:D

Sick all night from something I ate and just got up at 11:30. Hubby is making me some toast. I wanted tea but we did not have any. I just feel kind of weak today. Yuck!

I guess I will just hang around and do nothing today. I feel much better just weak. OK so I already said that so have a good day!!

Cathy p hope you are feeling better.

I've been missing for almost 2 weeks. If I ever get my hands on a person that creates cpu viruses I won't be going on a cruise for awhile. 2 different viruses on 2 different cpus.

Am I too late to add us to the Hotel Gavez?

OK, now the rest of the cruise. Like I said Key West was in one word HORRIBLE. It was cold and so were the people that lived and worked there. 10am in the morning and it was 47. Burrrrrrrr, and this was south Florida! We will be hard pressed to go back!

Cozumel was much better. It was 80 degrees when we got there. We pulled in at the new terminal (next to the one we used on the Dream) and its nothing special. The Oasis of the Sea was there and our ship looked like only half the size (because it was half the size). That ship was HUGE! Half of the terminal stores are up a flight of stairs with no elavator. I bought 2 things while we were there. A liter of diet pepsi and 2 cans of beer (99 cents at the El Cid hotel). Thank goodness for cheap cold beer.

I did think about a everyone of ya'll while we were gone, but a few for sure. Lori, I remember a picture of someone pouring something into a water bottle with you and Don. I was pouring something into my runrunner and was remembering that pic. (I did get mine back on board!) Cathy p, our table mates were two women from Cleveland with thier parents and "Granny" I was in the casino and down to my last 80 cents on the 2 penny machine when "Granny" walked up and asked if I was having any luck. Just then I hit 3 extra spins and ended up with $103.00. I just love you "Granny's".

Nothing special for the sea day (lost out on the final slot tournament by 350 points - not happy about that).

Now to the trip back home. Shared a taxi to the Miami airport with a couple from Dallas. That way it only cost $6 per person. The shuttle wanted $15 per person. No problem on the flight from Miami to Houston and no problem getting the connection. But as we landed in San Antonio the pilot hit the runway HARD:eek::eek::eek:. I mean HARD and the plane bounced and hit the runway again the next thing we knew we were air bourne again. He said it was because there was a plane at the end of the runway and he was told to abort the landing, but I think we were going to fast and came in so hard. So, we ended back up in the air for another 20 minutes and another go around. The second time was much smoother.

I see that the board has been slow this past week, but hopefully it will pick up. I did tell others about the cruise, but most live in Florida and would rather cruise from there. But there are a couple that I am sending the info and hopefully they will want to go along.

OK SMDers, thats about it for the night. Hope everyone has a great one. Later

Good morning, SMDers!

A rainey day here in Florida! The temp is suppose to be in the mid 70's but rain as the cold front moves thru and pushes the temps to the 60's. Gosh I think I can live with that.lol

Rich, thanks buddy. Us Granny type folks are kind of magical in our own way. Glad she gave you some of that. Thanks for thinking of me. I tried to keep the thread going but nobody wanted to come out and play.

Off to Looney land.

Welcome back Rich!! thanx for thinking of me in Cozumel even if it was while smuggling booze!!! hahahah!! That was our friend from Michigan Mike with Dave and Don pouring vodka in water bottles. Mike's was caught, Dave's wasn't!..... I think the lesson is RR's rule over water bottles!! I hear they are getting more strict with BYOB on board, I just hope I don't have any problems getting our pudding and jello shot ingredients on board. Can't have a cruise without them!! Sorry to hear about Key West. I am looking forward to going back there, hopefully on a cruise before the Matey's cruise. We were there in '94 for a day. We were camping up the road in Long Key. We gave the kids money for ice cream so we could go to Sloppy Joes!!! Had lunch at Margaritaville, when it was the only one. The trolley tour was pretty good too. If we go back, I think I would just spend the day walking around and exploring.

Well, got to go our and shovel some snow off my porch. I want to put up some more decorations on the porch but don't want to go out into the cold. It is up to 20 now, brrrr......
