Good evening SMDers.

Got a message from our group leader for the Alaska cruise and she is unable to continue for family reasons, so guess who may become the new group leader? Anybody else want to go the Alaska in June with us? lol.

Vicki - are you still in the waiting room?

Well if I wasn't already going in May, DH and I would join you in June!

I actually left the waiting room at 5:00, but still eagerly awaiting the big announcement from Marie :).

Well if Kimi & I joined up with this crazy group, so can you! :p We are a bit out there and were worried about fitting it...ummm, not going to be a problem and we are soooo looking forward to spending a great week at sea with everyone here!

Please do join us :).

Is anyone else in the CC Group bringing their kids with? I'm expecting that C will spend a lot of time at Camp Carnival, but not ALL of his time, and certainly not in port. Are the cc planned excursions kid friendly? I need to read through this thread, but it's REALLY long.

I am in charge of the Party boat on Montego bay. It is p[robably not a child friendly excursion. We will be on a catamaran, snorkling, and drinking, then we go to margarittaville for a while. After that we go back to the ship dancing and drinking some more.

With that said, your child is welcome, but I just don't think this excursion is set up for kids. There will be soda on the boat, and many of us will only be drinking that, but margarittaville is a bar.

However, I KNOW the beach excursion on Cozumel will be great for kids.

And in Grand Caymen, we will be doing a dive trip and another beach day for non divers. So those excursions will work for your family!:D

Yes, it is long! There is a business page for those that want the nitty gritty without all the chatter. Anything that is set in stone will be on that page. here is the link. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=694 But be sure an stay and chat cuz we wnat to know you and your family!!:D

Marie, I am so excited for your son and his wife! Having a child is the most precious gift God can give you. And I am also jealous cuz you get to hold her!:p I love babies, and kids.:D

Hi Cathy. It's so good to hear that you are enjoying Florida! I'm a little bit jealous of you too! I would love to live in Florida, but thats even farther away from Judie!! Maybe someday we will both live there!

Good afternoon SMDers. Wow alot of chat this morning on the board.

First off, Congrats to Marie and your family. That little one sure has alot of hair! And she is so cute (most take after her GM;))

Blizzrd - welcome to the board and maybe even the cruise. Since your from San Antonio maybe you could email me and I could get you my number and give you all the details on the cruise. This group does like to party and have a good time. Come on aboard! My email is under my signature.

Janet - thanks for stepping in and filling in the details. Your still my hero!

Missy - yes there are things for the kids to do with the group. As Janet said, the party boat my not be the right place for a child, but there are plenty of other things in Montego Bay for y'all to do. Now it looks like its going to be Paradise Beach in Cozumel and (as Janet said) this is perfect for the kids. Lots of water toys and sand to play with! We are still working on Grand Caymen. So, go ahead and book the cruise and start the planning:D.

Cathy p - so now that you have been in Florida for about 4-5 months now, do you think your going to like it:rolleyes:.

Kathy - we didn't know that you are shy.

Hi Vicki and Kimi and Bobbie.

Okay, since I will be over-coming a fear for the ocean (water) and sinking (I mean swimming ) with the stingrays on one day with Vic.... my job was to find something to do on another day.... so I have a question.... is there any sight-seeing (shopping) to do instead of going "to" the beach? I like to wander..... (I don't get lost) and visit local shops, etc. Just wondering.... thanks my SMDer's :)

Well, yes there is. Lori (I think) is organizing a bar hop for Coz. Now don't think this is a drunk tour. It really isn't. You will see the "other side of the island". It is really beautiful! You make several stops at different "bars" all of them on the beach and you get to see all the beauty the island has to offer.

Thats so far. If you would like to volunteer to organize a tour of sightseeing, then just let Rich know. Help is always needed and appreciated! My group cruise is in about 17 days. We have 2 tours for each port. So there are no rules about how many tours are offered. :D

Hello Janet! Thanks lots for the reply! I'm thinking the bar-hop isn't something we want to do (believe it or not!!!:)).

Shopping and sight-seeing in port is peachy!

However... I was thinking more along the lines of a couple naked male massage "specialists"!

I was just informed from Vic that I am not allowed to look that up on our work computers or sirens and the cops would show up! So reluctantly I must wait on that web inquiry!!

Must go will check back later! Love ya'll!

Kimi - I will let Janet take care of the massage specialists:eek:. lol However, if its shopping you want, then I think Cozumel will be your best bet. You can take a taxi from the terminal to the downtown area ($7 for the cab) and there is all the shoppping you could hope for. You really don't need a "shopping tour" since there are so many shops in that area. It will keep you busy for many hours on end!

OK, time for some TV and relax for the rest of the night. Hope y'all have a good one.

Hey SMDers!

Happy Friday to all that have to work Monday thru Friday....well heck Happy Friday to all.

Janet, I wish you and Judi would move here, like right down to The Villages. I think you both would love it.

Rich, well I am not sure I have been here long enough to decide whether or not that I like it.lol

Today is a bit chilly so no pool today, just getting our hair cut. Other than that maybe the pool tomorrow and going forward as the weather is suppose to be fantastic.

Hi to all the newbies and all my old sibs and bros...OOPS not old I meant ole.HEE HEE

Chat later.
