Hi Marie. Looks like we were posting at the same time. I'm with you on John Heald after the Dream cruise. As you remember he was suppose to show up at our M&G and never did. That and the fact that he did promise Janet that he would do something else (not sure what is was). As a matter of fact, I never did see him on the ship other then the shows. Yup, I can take him of leave him!

Well I guess we won't be inviting the CD to any of our gatherings. :D I agree references to MF bottom gets tiring but I just skip over that part. I suspect we won't be seeing him around this time either. The Bloggers cruise follows our cruise.

Don said he couldn't drink all that beer (at one time anyways!!!). He was more excited when I showed him the menu. I can't wait to try a dirty mojito!!! LOL!!

Thank you so much for this link!!! That menu looks amazing! And, to top it all off, Asa's FAVORITE beer is Presidente!!!! He can't find it anywhere around here, and they don't have it on the other ships (that I know of) ---So I agree, we will be spending lots of time here, also!

Rich, it has JUST started warming up. We had some nice days a couple of weeks ago, but then we got all of that crazy rain and cooler temps. We didn't get much of a spring...looks like we are going to jump right into summer! Had 85* temps this weekend.

We are going to be going on a land vacation to NC again this year. We are kicking off the girls' summer vacay with that trip this weekend! Carolina Beach is just a small beach town that combines with Kure Beach, and Ft. Fisher to make Pleasure Island. It is about an hour North of Murtle Beach, and South of The Outer Banks. Not a tourist trap, and hopefull it won't be too crowded over Memorial Day weekend! The great thing about it is that they have free movies in the park every Sunday and fireworks on the beach every Thursday thru summer...The crappy part is, it doesn't start till June!!! We are going the last weekend in May!!! Boo!!! Oh, well. It should be a great weekend!!!

I am looking forward to seeng the ocean again after being land-locked since last summer!

Ok, putting in my two cents worth here, I can leave him, I have a real problem with people who say one thing and do another, which happened about three times with him. It gives me something to talk about for a sentence or two anyway.

 

Checking again to see if anyone who is leaving on the 24 from Seattle has air line tickets yet? Just seeing how many we have for a shuttle. I know it's early yet, but if you do Chelle would like to know.

Southwest extended their dates today, but only until January. But at least I can get a good look at flight times - just can't buy them yet! So far it looks like we can arrive on Friday about 1:00 p.m. I'm wondering about going home. There is a flight at 1:00 - but that may be cutting it a little close, considering how far the port is, right? I want to be ready to jump on these flights when they become available! Any thoughts on a return flight time? I'd rather have a little extra time than be rushing and stressed out getting back to the airport!

 

Thinking of Bobbie this morning..... hope her surgery is on time!

Good monring SMDers. Another warm one here today. Suppose to get up in the 90's.

Just back from taking mom to the Dr. Didn't really know why she was going to see lung specialist and still don't. They said that there was something on her last Xray, but after seeing the Dr it seems that there is nothing to be concerned about. It may have been a smudge:eek:.

Nancy - I know those girls are ready for summer vacation to start. The kids here don't start until the first week of June. Seems they get more holiday time here in south Tx during the school year. Have a great time in NC. As far as the beer in the Red Frog, I too will need some help with the 101oz.

Bobbie - hope everything went well this morning. I agree about the timing, but still would try and get some sleep before any surgery. Hope your recovery is quick.

Chelle - I already put in my 2 cents about JH!.

Joni - I don't think that a 1:00 flight will be any problem for ya. We will have our own shuttles waiting to take everyone back to either Houston Hobby or Bush Intercont. Hobby is a smaller airport so I don't think it will take much time to get processed to the gate.

Rich, thanks for your input on my return flight to Buffalo. I see now that we can't book SW until July 26! That seems like FOREVER!

Vicki, your Alaska trip sounds wonderful. I still haven't checked out your pictures, but I plan to. It's so hard for us to plan a vacation where it won't be sunny and warm, but one of these days.......

Well if you read my facebook post you will know that I thought I was feeling well enough to venture out to the grocery store today.

 

Found out that I wasn`t tho so guess I am going to be staying home a few more days before I try it again.:(

 

You know I am really missing Janet...wish she could pop in more often just to let us hear from her.

 

Also am missing Andrea over here. I "see" her on fb but am wishing she drop in over here more, and Sunshine (Julie) too.:)

 

Guess most of you know that Julie is have knee surgery on Tuesday, let all remember to send good wishes for a speedy recovery to her..

 

It`s always good to get well wishes from your cruise friends when you aren`t feeling 100%.

 

And along those lines I want to say now..... thank you all for the concerns and good wishes that has been shown to me this week....:)

Hi SMD'ers, I'm back from my conference. Or more appropriately, my 4 days from hell. If you've seen my FB posts (sounds familiar, right Bobbie? lol) you know by now that the chairman of the board I work for fell on Sunday when arriving at the hotel and long story short, he passed away last night. I am physically and emotionally drained and can't even think about everything we've gone through right now.

Bobbie, I sure hope that you have learned not to overdo. Good grief girl, nothing is that important that you have to go out runnung around. Please take it easy and get plenty of rest my friend.:)

Julie, thoughts and prayers for a successful surgery on Tuesday. You will finally start feeling better soon. :) Hugs my friend.
