View from E311 CB "Fully Obstructed"

We just returned from our Canada/NE cruise on the Caribbean Princess in a category FF Fully Obstructed cabin and wanted to share our view. I spent some time researching pictures and deck plans and had actually downgraded from a partially obstructed to this one. It was obvious from exterior pics that 3/4 of the window was clearly visible above the lifeboat (not a tender), whereas the partially obstructed room I initially booked was completely covered by poles/wires/etc. The first shows actual view between top of boat and overhead roof. The 2nd shows a zoomed view. We were very pleased for the money.

Thanks so much for posting these photos! We will be in this cabin in October and were concerned about the view because on our booking Important Notices states "This cabin has a fully obstructed view"

Very happy now.............especially for the price we paid!!!!

Thanks again!

You are most welcome! I wish someone had done it earlier and saved me hours of searching. The photograph that finally allowed me to see up close the outside view of this cabin was one on Flickr with some major megapixels that allowed me to zoom far in. I just searched Flickr for Caribbean Princess. Happy Cruising!

Thank you for the info and pics. I noticed this cabin is over the casino. Did you hear any noise from the casino in?

Hi and welcome to Cruise Critic.

This thread and the original posters (graygirl) post is from 2011.

Graygirl has not been back on Cruise Critic since 2015 so I doubt she will answer.

Maybe someone else will chime in. :)

We were in E311 on the CB from Quebec down to Ft Lauderdale in October last year and did not hear any noise in fact we are on the CB again this year and have booked the cabin in the same location but on the port side of the ship.

How did you find the view considering it is "Fully Obstructed" ?

We previously booked E411 as it was mid ship and the cables and ladder was the best oceanview in the mid ship location. I believe is above Essence which is a duty free shop, etc so we thought that would be quiet (not directly above the casino). We like the view better from E311 but have concerns of noise and vibration over the casino. So not sure what to do. Basically an oceanview will give us daylight in our cabin which I think I would prefer for a 12 day British isles cruise but we are also considering an inside cabin on deck 12 or 14 close to mid ship but not sure if I could handle that for 12 days. Confused and unable to decide lol.

Thank you for the pics

I think the view is great compared to having cables. Here are a couple of pictures taken from the cabin.

Thanks for posting. I would come consider this more to be " partially obstructed" vs "fully obstructed "
