Finding hidden objects.

Thanks, Stargateman.

OP - try searching for the individual items. I think there have been many postings about the "secret door" to the "secret deck". On the Magic, I think it was Deck 9, port, all the way forward.

I would think there would be similar postings about the ships bells.

Good luck!

I am going on the magic in March! Would be cool to find this spot. Is it a small deck area? Thanks.

OK so don't tell us where it is but would be nice to know all the cool things to look for. Wow I never thought this would be such a big secret!!!

google ships lucky coins and you will get the information about how and when the tradition started. And oh; Miracle, lucky coin is just about the same place as on Spirit. A suggestion, try walking all of the decks from stem to stern. I think you'll find some surprises.

Is there a list some where that we can find what to look for. Happy cruising

It is a deck at the very front of the ship. Just get to the 9th deck and get in the port cabin corridor (even numbered cabins, I believe), then walk all the way forward. It is a smallish deck where you can see directly forward. There is a ladder/stairway that goes up to a similar but smaller 10th deck.)

On our first night on the Magic, just before midnight, we got the announcement that a small pleasure craft had sent out a Mayday, so we were going to "rescue" it. I knew there would be a lot of passengers clamoring for views on the side railings and I wanted a forward view anyway. I knew there would be a "secret deck", so I just started about half way down and walked all the way forward on both the port and starboard sides of each deck, working my way up until I found it.

As it turned out, the "rescue" was much ado about nothing. The two boaters did not accept the offer to be taken on board. They were so concerned for their safety that they weren't even wearing life jackets, even though their craft was dead in the water. We stopped next to it to block the wind for it for 2 hours or so. Around 2:00 am, I gave up watching (they were waiting for the Spanish coast guard to come and give them a tow) and went to bed.

I will be going on my 6th cruise next year, and had no idea about this stuff. Just recently read about the "secret door". Never heard about coin boxes, ship bells or anything else. I am really out of the loop aren't I ?

I never had any idea either, except the secret door, which I knew about for our first cruise. We ended up stopping to pick up refugees and went to the "secret door" to watch... With about 200 other people.

I thing I would like this to keep traveling so here is a good question? If you were to do a scavenger hunt what would you have people looking for? Would you have them taking pictures? Example "Carnival Glory Camels" Looking for some interesting but clean ideas!

I would make it ship-specific (and have). Yes, the Camels on the Glory are a perfect example of what I would put on mine. Taking pictures of the items is one good way to do it, but although both my DDs had their digital cameras with them on our cruise, I chose to just have them spot the itme and make sure their sister saw it, too. When both had seen the item, they would check it off.

My DDs were 10 and 6 on our last cruise that we did this, and we were sailing on the Pride. I had been on the Pride several times before, so I put a lot of Pride-specific items as well as some general cruise-ship things on the list.
The coin thing makes me wonder - Did they remove the Destiny's coin and replace it with a Sunshine coin in the same spot? or did they add a Sunshine coin somewhere else?
What are great question.....we will be sailing on the Sunshine for New Year's and I'll have to check it out now. Maybe the 2 coins are next to each other......hmmmm!

Inspiration has sea shells. They're in the carpeting of the cabin hallways.
Our scavenger hunt no one could find them.
