stipmom Posted August 31, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 31, 2011 Looking to fly back to US with a connection in Germany. Either Frankfurt or Munich. How much time should I build into the trip? Some choices leave only a little over one hour which I would think is not enough time.

Ms Understood Posted September 1, 2011 #3 Share Posted September 1, 2011 Munich is a much easier airport to negotiate than Frankfurt. If all other things are equal, change in Munich. If you are not changing airlines, than "a little over an hour" should be plenty. -------------------- Helen
Rare Hlitner Posted September 1, 2011 #4 Share Posted September 1, 2011 Am going to respectfully disagree with the previous post about connection times. We do agree that Munich will give you a better experience then Frankfurt (we really dislike this airport). However, when you fly from Paris to Germany you are going through the heart of Europe which has lots of airline traffic issues. Delayed flights, within Europe, are almost the rule rather then the exception. So a 1 or even a 1 1/2 hour connection time, although it sounds like enough, is not nearly enough to account for potential delays. Personally we would want a minimum 2 hours between flights. That being said, if we fly to the US from CDG we always try to simply book a non-stop flight to the states. Hank
