I had a good time -did the #26 Alaska cruise tour. What can I tell you about the Statendam ( this would be my 2nd time on her) ? :)

Just your opinion of the ship!! I have not read many positives reviews or much of anything about the statendam! did your ac work in your cabin? we will be on her in march for 14 days , just hopeing i have chosen well.. thanks for your input:confused:

Had cabin 788, outside midship. Air worked well, may have been even a little cool, but after all it was Alaska. Room was comfy with lots of space, bathroom looked like it had been recently redone. The ship was cool overall.

I liked the ship-prefer the Explorations cafe and lounge on the same level as the upper dining room as opposed to jammed in the Crows nest.Shops OK ; there is a big push to buy expensive jewellery but I didn't see much action there. Casino was busy as was the Mix.

I ate in the PG and the Canaletto. PG service a little slow -didn't go to Le Cirque night. Dining room also slow . Lido seems much improved- good service and hot food! Didn't have pizza but the cheeseburgers were good.

Evening entertaiment improved and 2 shows a night so you don't have to rush through dinner to get a seat.

I had no issues and I had a good vacation, but I had no major expectations except to relax and enjoy myself.

Did I miss anything you particularly wanted to know?

No, that was great, just wanted to hear something on the statendam:D I am sure we to will enjoy... I hope she was in good shape, and sounds like it is, thanks so much...
