Hotel In Miami

We are flying in to Miami in 2 weeks to leave on the Liberty, and are using the Holiday Inn Port of Miami. It has gotten mixed reviews, but several of our CC group are staying there and it's just right across the street from Bayside Marketplace and also just across the water from the Port.... probably a 5 min cab ride or so. Others in our group are staying at the Intercontinental, also very close. We would have stayed there probably had we not already booked this first and gotten a pretty good deal using AAA....cheaper than what I have seen people get using other 'bid' sites, etc. for other hotels in the area.

Hope this helps

Jim

We will be flying into Miami a day early so that we can be sure and get on the ship as early as possible. Anyone have any recommendations for a hotel close to the port? I would like something with beach access maybe or something close to the beach. TIA

I have stayed at the Intercontinental before and would recommend it... Right next to Bayside and Very close to the port... Am staying there again in December Pre and Post cruise... Check out Last Minute Travel.

If you want beach access you need to look at the town of Miami Beach not City of Miami.

If you want a nice pool and not far from the airport and close to Port go with the Embassy Suites, free shuttle from MIA, small charge to go to the port. See my review on TripAdvisor.com.
