Distance from NCE to the Nice port.

Hello!

We are sailing on the 9/17/11 French Riviera cruise aboard the Azamara Journey. Does anyone know how far it is from the Nice airport (NCE) to the Nice port where we board the ship? Thanks in advance for your help.:)

It has been a lot of years since we cruised out of Nice's small port (on the Regent Spirit) and that cruise started our love for the region (we have since spend many months in that area). From the Nice Cote d'Azur Airport to the port (which is to the east of the old town area) is about 5 1/2 miles. Depending on the time of day (and day of week) that can take up to 20 min if there is a lot of traffic. You probably know that not many cruise ships use that port since the large ships cannot get into the place. It is primarily used by ferries. If you are not planning to fly in a few days early you should try to change your plans so you can enjoy Nice and its environs.
