Tropical Depression Lee - Update 9/5 10:00AM

We continue to closely monitor Tropical Depression Lee which has delayed the arrival of the Carnival Elation into Mobile and Carnival Triumph into New Orleans. As always, the safety of our guests is our number one concern and our ships will maintain a safe distance from the storm at all times.

CARNIVAL ELATION - 9/5/11

The Carnival Elation is still delayed arriving in Mobile from its previous cruise. Given prevailing weather conditions, the local pilots have not been able to board the ship. At this time we are still unable to provide an estimated arrival time. We will provide guests with another update no later than 12:00PM CDT (noon) on Monday. We encourage guests to sign up for text updates by texting CCL2 to 36500.

CARNIVAL TRIUMPH - 9/5/11

The Carnival Triumph is delayed arriving in New Orleans from its previous cruise. The good news is that local pilots have boarded the ship this morning and the ship is expected to dock at 5:00PM. Because of limited parking and seating facilities at the terminal, please do not proceed to the cruise terminal until 9:00PM. Embarkation is scheduled to take place from 8:00PM -10:30PM and sailing is scheduled for 11:00PM. This delay should not impact our scheduled itinerary. We encourage guests to sign up for text updates by texting CCL3 to 36500.

We're sorry Mother Nature is not cooperating with us. We look forward to welcoming guests aboard the Carnival Elation & Carnival Triumph!

All other sailings departing on or after Monday, September 5, 2011 will continue to operate as scheduled. In the event we need to make a deviation to the itinerary, we will update our guests.

I am on the Triumph now. Pilot has boarded as of a couple hours ago. Should be in New Orleans for 5pm...bit of a rough cruise due to weather but perfect day in Cozumel.

The weather today is mostly dry with even slight periods of sunshine. The water at the cruise pier is smooth with little wind. Ferrys, barges and sightseeing boats are all operating. Can't figure out why our ships are so late.

Hanging at the Microtel Saraland waiting on Elation. Sunny for the moment but still windy. Here's hoping she can actually dock in the morning as planned. Carnival did let us know on the last update that we're now looking at a 4 day, instead of 5. Better than none though!:)
