Road trip from MN

Driving in from Minnesota, cruising from Manhattan terminal on Oct.1. Looking for hotel recomendations for Fri. night in NJ. Prefer decent area. How long would it take from that hotel to the pier on Sat.. Also, lincoln tunnel or GW bridge?

Looking at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Parsippany. Better to come to Manhattan pier by GW bridge or Lincoln tunnel?

Are you coming in I80? If so, you want to use the GW Bridge. If you're on the upper level, stay to the right and take the Henry Hudson Parkway south - first exit. On the lower level, stay to the left and do the same.

 

For Sep 30 I'm seeing a 4* Morristown/Parsipanny hotel on Hotwire for $67 which is likely to be the Hyatt. That would be a good deal. It shouldn't be more than an hour to the pier.
