Machu Picchu Information

Duck Duck Cruise

I think everyone will agree (okay, mostly everyone) that The Path Between The Seas is the definitive book that should be read before doing a Panama Canal transit. The history in that book is incredible and made our canal transit even more enjoyable.

We are planning a trip (pre-cruise) to Machu Picchu and want to know what is the definitive book (or books) would be for the history of Machu Picchu and the Incas before we go?

Thanks in advance for all your input.
