Rare teacherman Posted September 8, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 8, 2011 ALL we want is a clean safe beach with some shade and chairs and beach bar for drinks and food. Do any of you have experience with these 2 beaches. It is my understanding that Frigate is closer to town but Cockelshell offers a view of Nevis (but a 30 minute ride). Any advice/info is welcome. We will be there in December aboard Emerald Princess. Thank you.
LoriPhil Posted September 9, 2011 #2 Share Posted September 9, 2011 Are taxi's available at Cockelshell for the return trip to port?
paul58 Posted September 9, 2011 #3 Share Posted September 9, 2011 Most people will arrange for their taxi to take them back to the port area at a pre-arranged time and paying the fare when they return to the port.

You are obviously looking for the same as we are and, having done lots of homework on the subject, we've decided on Frigate Bay for our visit in December. We will be checking in at the front desk of the Timothy Beach Resort and then we get free use of the pool, chairs and the beach is public. We had a lovely email back from TBR saying this and they'd love to see us, it sounds lovely. Hope this info helps you! :)
Rare teacherman Posted September 24, 2011 Author #5 Share Posted September 24, 2011 Are you being charged for this by the resort, or allowed in for "free" knowing you will spend money at bars and restaurant?

Essexlass2 Posted October 12, 2011 #7 Share Posted October 12, 2011 Its a public beach so its free. If you want to use the hotel's chairs and pool, all they ask is that you report to the front desk first. :)
