Anyone Ever Use Advantage Bridge Plan Ins

I thought that I would choose our insurance instead of going through the travel agent (might not have been that  smart of an idea) and got on www.insuremytrip.com and reviewed through them. I chose Ross Advantage Bridge Plan as I think it will cover all of our needs and is about $50.00 cheaper than my agent offered.

Now I am second guessing myself and wonder if any other cruisers have used this insurance and how their experiences was. I would appreciate any feedback...

Thanks!

Our agency used M.H. Ross for many years. They were/are a small company which meant they had several advantages. One was that everyone in their office had been there for years and really knew their stuff and they were empowered to solve problems -- no having to consult several supervisors to get a simple question answered or to handle a customer service issue. Heck, you could call up and say "let me talk to Murray" and Mr. H. H. Ross would take your call personally if he was around.

The policies have changed over the years so I have no opinion on whether it's the right choice for you, but if it is you can expect excellent service.

Also, if you're considering using insuremytrip I recommend that you check out their new customer ratings feature. You can even just read reviews by those that have filed a claim which is where you really find out how the customer service is. Here's what those who bother to write something about their claims experience said (for both MH Ross plans):

"Claims review specialist was easily reached, very informative and supportive when letting us know our options concerning a delayed flight. The claim process took about a month from beginning to end but was well worth it."

"It took quite a while to process my claim, but there were some unusual features to my trip so I'm not too surprised. Once it got processed I did get a full refund and was quite pleased overall. "

"I missed my flight for thanksgiving due to back pain. Thank god I have started taking insurance for my trips and this is the first time I had to use it. You have wonderful service, very easy to claim and very friendly and helpful customer service. Pleasure doing business with you. "

"Thank you for prompt and courteous service!"

No one had any negative comments.
