TSJE4 Posted September 9, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 9, 2011 Wondering what is the best tour from this port . Two families with kids 10 and 13 years . Have reserved South Sea tour but when i looked into non p& o reviews on this tour - some people were disapointed , esp one because the advertised Meke performance is not held on a Sunday .( We are docked on a Sunday) Any views on the other tours . Thanks Sandi.

Beachcomber is recommended for water sports and similar activities so could be your best bet if you decide against South Sea - the alternative island trip to Oolala is to a very small atol and is focussed on a "deserted island" style experience. We did the Wanake Village tour - it was not geared for early teens and the few children that were on this tour became restive and a bit disruptive during the very traditional and (for the adults) enjoyable performance. We did a sceninc flight over the Islands in the morning which was good fun. As the other poster says, you'll find that wherever you are in Fiji on a Sunday, activities will be minimal. On that same cruise we were at Dravuni on Sunday, and their were no stalls open, and the locals pretty much just relaxed and watched us come ashore ;) Having said that, it was still a lovely port.
