am588 Posted September 11, 2011 #4 Share Posted September 11, 2011 not really a liberty specific secret, but for the drink of the day if you have them refill your souvenir mug you save $1. also, buckets of beer (4 beers) are slightly cheaper than individual beers
TaraLynne Posted September 11, 2011 #5 Share Posted September 11, 2011 I'd love to hear any Liberty "secrets" too...I found out some great stuff about the Dream (like the "secret deck" at the front of the boat on one of the higher decks) through a post like this last year :)
CalaDragonflyLady Posted September 11, 2011 #6 Share Posted September 11, 2011 I'm not tellin' about the secret deck because it's right outside my room :p
ferfoodle Posted September 11, 2011 #7 Share Posted September 11, 2011 The biggest secret about the Liberty: what will be done to her in dry dock 10/8-22/11. It has been the hush hush, tease tease for months now.
Kidsgoneletscruise Posted September 11, 2011 #8 Share Posted September 11, 2011 We are cruising on Liberty this December and are very excited. I haven't heard of any "secrets" but we have heard she's a fantastic ship to sail. :)
angel24_ga Posted September 11, 2011 #9 Share Posted September 11, 2011 I'm not tellin' about the secret deck because it's right outside my room :p Not Fair! LOL! Can you tell us about it after your cruise? Then you wont have to worry about it being in front of your room!
CalaDragonflyLady Posted September 11, 2011 #10 Share Posted September 11, 2011 (edited) Not Fair! LOL! Can you tell us about it after your cruise? Then you wont have to worry about it being in front of your room! I will totally spill the beans AND share photos after my cruise :D  It's my second time on the ship but I just discovered this site a few months ago. From what I remember, there are a few decks where you can't walk all the way through the ship, you have to go up or down a flight of stairs. http://www.cruisecheap.com/ships/carnival-cruises-carnival-liberty-deck-plans.html Edited September 11, 2011 by LibratPDX

pacer1 Posted September 10, 2014 #15 Share Posted September 10, 2014 All of you first-timers on the Liberty are in for a treat. It's a beautiful ship. One of the few left with an orchestra and Vegas style shows. Never feels crowded. The aft pool is nice and has retractable roof. Fish & Chips is great..up the stairs at buffet..go early in the cruise before it's discovered. Lots of seats, quiet and drink machines right there. Deck 5 is the best access across ship otherwise you're going up and down. ALCHEMY bar is very popular and just a few steps away is Taste Bar ...to grab that tasty appetizer to go with your drink. The Bloody Marys at the Sea day brunches are great and Tea Time has excellent desserts and tea sandwiches. That should get you started. I'll be back for my third trip in Nov. :)
