I doubt you can use Euros. They take Aussie dollars or CFP/French Pacific Franc.

You might find this link helpful..according to it you can use Euros..I have never tried..you lose money with every conversion..but if you already have the Euros you may as well use them.

It depends what you want to do in Noumea. If you book a tour or buy souvenirs in the cruise terminal or buy anything in the duty free shop (Marlene) you can use AUD.

 

If you want to go to a restaurant or coffee shop, or travel by taxi or bus you will need Pacific Francs. Euros would have to be changed and I suppose you could change them as easily as you could change AUD, although you can change AUD to francs on the ship at quite a reasonable rate.

 

Consider what you want to do and whether you need francs at all.
