Currency in nomeau

It depends what you want to do in Noumea. If you book a tour or buy souvenirs in the cruise terminal or buy anything in the duty free shop (Marlene) you can use AUD.

 

If you want to go to a restaurant or coffee shop, or travel by taxi or bus you will need Pacific Francs. Euros would have to be changed and I suppose you could change them as easily as you could change AUD, although you can change AUD to francs on the ship at quite a reasonable rate.

 

Consider what you want to do and whether you need francs at all.
