princess sasha Posted September 18, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2011 We are taking the Pacific Princess 2012 world cruise and would like to take a overland tour in Egypt. We will disembark the ship in Safaga 4/22/12. Would like to go to Aswan, sail down the Nile (atleast overnight) and see the laser light show at the Giza Pyramids before joining our ship in Akexandria on 4/25/12. This is our third trip to Egypt so we have seen the pyramids and tombs and do not wish to repeat this. There are four people that want to do this so far. Any suggestions.:)

That way others that are sailing with you will see it and those interested can respond. Not all roll call members read or post on the main Princess forum here. ;)

cruiseaholic31 Posted September 18, 2011 #5 Share Posted September 18, 2011 I didn't think the light show was that impressive. I'd skip it if I were you. Seeing the pyramids and sphinx during the daylight was all that was necessary.

I thought it was a waste, and for us it was free.

That doesn't mean, though, that you should also skip the S&L shows at Karnak or Philae Temple. We attended the Karnak S&L show and it was amazing, as you take a walk through the temple as it plays out ... both eerie and awesome would be how I describe it. I haven't seen the one at Philae Temple but have read that it is equally good.
